James Wanduse was born and raised in Uganda, where his connection to the wilderness began in childhood. Early explorations through Uganda’s wild landscapes sparked a lifelong passion for guiding—one rooted in curiosity, respect, and a deep love for East Africa’s natural heritage.
With over two decades of guiding experience across Uganda and Rwanda, James is known for creating journeys that are immersive, authentic, and rich in storytelling. James is also a seasoned mountaineer, having summited Africa’s most iconic peaks, including Kilimanjaro, Mount Kenya, Mount Elgon, Mount Meru, Mount Muhabura, and the Rwenzori Mountains. For him, each climb is more than a physical achievement—it’s a way to connect with Africa’s raw, untamed spirit.

Eric was born in Kihihi, a picturesque town in Western Uganda nestled between Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Growing up surrounded by iconic wilderness, he developed a deep-rooted passion for wildlife and conservation that continues to shape his life and career.
With over 20 years of guiding across Uganda and Rwanda, Eric has led travelers on unforgettable journeys—from gorilla trekking and birding to cultural immersions and game drives. His extensive field knowledge and warm, engaging presence turn every safari into a meaningful story.
Eric holds a Diploma in Tourism Management and specialized certifications in Wildlife Management, Translocation, First Aid, and Birding. He was the only Ugandan guide selected for the Eco Trainers’ Workshop in South Africa (2013) and previously trained with the International Gorilla Conservation Program (2007), contributing to gorilla habituation and census efforts.
As Co-Founder of Save Wildlife Uganda, Eric works with communities bordering Queen Elizabeth National Park to reduce human-wildlife conflict, support reformed poachers with alternative livelihoods, and protect endangered species. For Eric, guiding is a calling—to connect people with nature and inspire lasting conservation.
